The energy industry – oil & gas sector in particular – is bracing itself for a massive wave of retirements over the short to medium term, which has been dubbed “The Great Shift Change.” As the industry prepares for this turnover, companies are looking to the next generation of candidates with skills ranging from finance, geology, engineering, law, etc.

Engineering Specialist

Job Summary 

This position is located in Anadarko’s Rockies Region as a member of the Wattenberg team. Successful candidates will be responsible for data management, data analysis & interpretation. Successful candidate will also be able to identify areas for efficiency gains, and program and implement solutions.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of relevant experience preferred
  • Robust knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications, specifically Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Knowledge of process mapping software Visio a plus, but not required.
  • Experience using ArcGIS a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with Aries, SpotFire, OpenWells, Documentum a plus, but not required.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative through interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • High aptitude for problem solving, and to learn new applications quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering and geoscience staff by combining data to develop, update and monitor nonoperated engineering databases.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of OpenWells to support accrual process.
  • Conduct monthly operator survey to assess status (Spud/Drilled/Completed, Producing).
  • Search, scouting, analysis of well and production data from state resources.
  • Streamline and automate manual procedures where possible.
  • Document processes and procedure using Visio software.
  • Sync data in analysis databases for Spotfire use.
  • Takes an active part in team meetings and decisions.
  • Uphold all company environmental, health and safety policies and principles.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; business or technical degree preferred.
  • Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.

OEM Business Development Manager 

Shell; Houston, TX, US

Job Description: 

The OEM BDM will work closely with the global OEM approval managers (GOAM) to execute the customer value proposition (CVP) and close lubricants factory fill and aftermarket business in the machinery and automotive component OEM spaces. This BDM role will be focused solely on hunting new OEM business in the General Manufacturing sector, so this must be a proven strength. Through rigorous prospecting, the preferred candidate will be accountable for developing a robust OEM pipeline, and work with the GOAMs to create and close sales contract agreements with selected OEMs. The BDM is also responsible for building strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive growth via the Shell CVP and coordinate and lead the execution with internal and external stakeholders to form partnerships with new clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Works through direct & indirect sales channels to develop and deliver sales goals
  • Works with OEM-owned, OEM franchised and independent service outlets and companies to convert channels to Shell
  • Work with GOAM to implement OEM CVPs for maximum effect in the aftermarket
  • Tracks progress of indirect and direct channel to ensure delivery of goals
  • Ensures all customer interaction activities are properly logged and updated in the appropriate CRM system
  • Properly manages prospect opportunities on a regular basis via the SPANCOP sales process
  • Tracks budget for project
  • Prepares sales/prospect-related reports for senior management and steering team discussions
  • Coordinates OEM Activation activities within North America and acts as a single point of contact between North American Marketing and Global Marketing

  • The ideal applicant will need to demonstrate a robust sales and marketing track record in a B2B/B2C Lubricant environment.
  • Evidence of value-selling and consultative selling approaches will be necessary to enable the incumbent to deliver innovative solutions to progressive OEM prospects in a tough industrial environment.
  • Results through others – distributors, regional, technical and support teams
  • Develop a strategy to generate significant top-line growth through new business wins within the first twelve months
  • Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of the indirect and direct channel business model
  • Key contacts will be high-level and your ability to manage multiple stakeholders and negotiation strengths are fundamental to the role.
  • Long cycle times are expected, as is your ability to deliver results.

Requirements:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Technical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years sales experience dealing with complex, multi-site corporate accounts required
  • Proven track record of delivery in a B2B/B2C sales environment at key account level or marketing required.
  • Commercial instinct and strong customer orientation required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; including experience of and ability to build and manage high-level relationships within large global, complex accounts required.
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies, including tactical pricing and CRM tools required.
  • Solid working knowledge of technical applications, CVP’s and troubleshooting capabilities required.
  • Ability to manage relationships within a B2B environment both internal and external. Good working knowledge of the customer’s operation and financials required.
  • Knowledge of Sales Force preferred.
  • 50 – 60% travel requirements.

EHS Leader 

GE; Plainville, Connecticut, US

Essential Responsibilities: 

The position will require you to be highly motivated, able to work independently, demonstrate strong problem solving skills, and exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will be required to be flexible and work closely with all facets of the organization. In this role, you will:

  • Ensure safe working practices in electrical testing and new product development labs
