Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Business Analyst – IT Retail Systems located in Makati City, Philippines through August 27, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). The IT Business Analyst role is under the Retail Systems Support (RSS) located in Manila. The team is part of International Sites and Card (IS&C) of Downstream and Chemicals IT. IS&C deploy, manage and support the IT Systems that enable our retail business and card marketing operations in AP and AMEP regions. The primary role is to provide Level 2 support (production and testing and integration) of the retail back office system (Envoy/NAMOS), iPayment, Point of Sale and other peripheral system. Because of the diversity and the complexity of systems supported in AP region basically stemming from various in-country business requirements and market conditions, it is critical that the candidate is able to grasp new business processes, rapidly assess needs, fluently translate business requirements, and be able to effectively lead and manage stakeholders to a successful outcome.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Provides Level 2 technical support for retail and card systems e.g., Point of Sale (POS), EPS (Express Payment System), Fuel Management Solutions, International Fleet Card System, Back Office System (BOS) and Head Office System (HOS) in the supported countries in AP.
- Resolves technical issues, acts as escalation point and conducts deeper level of investigation and works with service providers for resolution.
- Plans and performs tests in support of retail and card systems on replacement and new release update.
- Builds relationships with business users, 3rd party vendors and understands business issues and challenges; acts as liaison between SME/vendors and the business users.
- Manages vendors at working level, delivery schedule, issue and risk management.
- Works closely with the Product Managers, SMEs, In-Country RAs in the planning, deriving system requirement specification based on business requirement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, MIS or other relevant fields.
- At least 3+ years’ experience in retail environment particularly in solutions development, retail automation and production support

Fuels Scientist/Greenhouse Gas Intensity Assessment Technologist

Job Description:
With the increasing demand for carbon emissions reduction, there is a growing need for technically sound, transparent and consistent carbon intensity (CI) analysis of Shell products and/or processes in many Shell Businesses. Proper understanding of the carbon footprints of different products and processes, which include all CO2 emissions on a cradle to grave or Well-to-Wheel (WtW) basis is crucial for:
- Regulatory advice and negotiations with governments, NGOs, OEMs and other stakeholders
- Forward business planning (investment strategies, competitor benchmarking, management of regulatory exposure and gap analysis)
- Customer communications (e.g. environmental CVPs)
- The credibility of Shell as a trusted source of knowledge, information and expertise will be a critical enabler for business success in a carbon-constrained world. This credibility will depend on establishing transparent, consistent and scientifically robust advocacy positions.
The Greenhouse Gas Intensity Assessment Technologist (GIAT) was created in 2008 to ensure effective, efficient and consistent delivery of WtW carbon intensity analysis for the Shell Group. The overall GIAT program covers:
(i) the development and assessment of fundamental life cycle analysis methodologies,
(ii) performing specific cradle-to-grave or WtW case studies for Shell businesses
(iii) the provision of technical support to internal and external advocacy in the WtW/Life cycle analysis (LCA) area.The primary purpose of this role includes the following:
- Define and manage the project deliverables against agreed time lines and budgets
- Agree on work proposals and delivery plans for identified project elements with Delivery Manager and activity leaders: detailed delivery, timing and costs
- Monitor and steer project progress: overall delivery, timing and spend and report back to Delivery Manager. Flag deviations from plan and, if appropriate, agree new targets and revise project plan
- Prepare material to defend, demonstrate and report project progress to stakeholders, e.g. at quarterly reviews
- Review and approve reports according to the Fuels Quality procedure FQA17
- Develop and maintain close relationships with key senior internal stakeholders, primarily Group CO2 and workstream business managers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key global legislative issues related to CO2 WtW, particularly with respect to the EU and US
- Provide technical advice, including technical reports, on CO2 WtW issues to key internal stakeholders
- Monitor key LCA developments or publications from academia, OEMS, NGOs and industry to provide technical insights and deploy emerging ways of conducting LCA analysis
- Represent Shell on external technical bodies and expert committees relevant to carbon intensity and CO2 WtW/LCA activities
- Develop and maintain close relationships with key external stakeholders to further Group technical advocacy activities, including key academics and OEMs
- Publish LCA work in scientific journals and present at international conferences to enhance Shell’s reputation for providing robust LCA analysis based on sound science
- Provide technical coaching for GIAT members
- Work to high Health, Safety and Environmental standards

Desired Skills:
