UtiliBill™ Integrated Electronic Data Interchange and Billing/CIS provides ease of use and lower cost to serve for energy retailers in deregulated markets

UNIONDALE, N.Y. –October 20, 2015 – EC Infosystems, a leader in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Billing/Customer Information Solutions (CIS) for clients in the deregulated energy industry, today announced that it has signed new contracts with three energy marketers: Phoenix Energy Group, Dual Fuel Corporation, and ASC Energy Services. All three energy marketers are existing EDI customers that upgraded to the company’s Utilibill™ integrated EDI and Billing/CIS platform.

“Ease of use, control, and the low total cost of ownership of our integrated, hosted model appears to be a winning formula for energy marketers who want to grow while lowering their cost to serve,” said EC Infosystems President and CEO, Mohan Wanchoo. “Over the past several years a significantly growing number of our EDI customers have opted for our full Utilibill platform as they acquire new customers and enter new markets,” added Ananda Goswami, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Phoenix Energy Group supplies renewable energy to residential and commercial electricity and gas customers in the New York Metropolitan area. “As a result of strong growth, we needed a robust billing/CIS platform that was easy to use and didn’t require a big investment in additional IT resources,” said Sean Sheikh, Energy Manager at Phoenix Energy Group. “Utilibill was a great fit, and the fact that it was already integrated with our EDI service was a big plus.”

Dual Fuel Corporation is a New York based Energy Services Company (ESCO) that delivers savings to customers through mechanical, technology and commodity solutions. “Dual Fuel actively manages and supplies customer load in real time through proprietary control systems,” said Company President, Joseph Bohm. “The Utilibill platform will allow us to match real time loads with utility meter readings ensuring the highest level customer experience.”

Rick Cincotta, President of ASC Energy Services, a supplier of electricity and gas to residential and commercial customers in Long Island, NY, said “We are preparing for a significant expansion into the Long Island area C&I market. Utilibill’s hosted application platform and integrated EDI will enable a smooth and cost-efficient customer acquisition process.”
