Sr Executive Assistant – Global LNG 

Anadarko; The Woodlands, TX, US

Job Summary:
This is a highly visible position tasked with providing administrative support for the Executive Vice President, Global LNG.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten years of related administrative support experience is required.
  • Experience supporting an executive or experience in an oil and gas environment strongly preferred.
  • A demonstrated proficiency in advanced usage of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, -Access, Internet Explorer and Outlook).
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism is critical.
  • Accuracy, efficiency and discretion must be exercised in this position at all times.
  • The successful candidate must be able to effectively interface with diverse groups of people, both internal and external to the company.
  • International travel experience; visa and passport applications as well as creating detailed itineraries

  • The ability to communicate effectively through both written word and verbal delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced and diverse administrative support to the Executive Vice President, Global LNG
  • Maintain smooth operation of the office
  • First point of contact for company executives and employees, as well as external guests/entities
  • Schedule meetings, conferences, events and catering (both internal and external) utilizing a wide array of resources and electronic media
  • Screen and direct calls appropriately
  • Prepare, submit and track expense reports/pcard
  • Order office supplies, business cards and stationary
  • Handling incoming/outgoing departmental mail; coordinate internal office moves with facilities
  • Create and generate reports, presentations, miscellaneous correspondence and spreadsheets as required
  • Maintain both electronic and hard copy files
  • Coordinate and book travel as needed
  • Apply and maintain visa/passports
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.

Relocation:
This position is not eligible for domestic or international relocation.

Contracts Analyst 

Chevron; London, UK

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Strong experience of working in contracts for either crude oil or product cargoes and natural gas in Europe.
  • Generate contracts/respond to contracts received from customers for our purchase of crude and products cargoes.
  • Liaise and negotiate agreeable contract terms with counterparts, state companies and partners.
  • Administer all contract work from initiation through to completion.
  • Review and recommend amendments to customer general provisions as necessary.
  • Work closely with various departments such as Trading, Operations, Finance, Legal, Credit and Tax.
  • Support Natural Gas Europe (NGE) a section of GSAT in S&T. Active in UK, Denmark & Netherlands.
  • Work in a fast moving commercial environment, agreeing priorities and workload in line with business needs & expectations.
  • Support the NGE Commercial team to negotiate and execute new gas contracts (EFET Master Agreement +Appendices, Gas Supply Agreements & Physical Swap Agreements).

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • Strong experience of working in contracts for either Crude oil, Product cargoes and Natural Gas in Europe.
  • Due to the size of the team, the candidate will need to be proficient within a short space of time with minimal training.
  • Knowledge and experience in Word and Outlook.
  • Customer-focused with good planning and organizational skills.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge in contracting standards:
  • Gas pipeline infrastructure network.

Developer Job

Purpose and Objectives

The SAP HANA text analysis team combines the talents of computational linguists and skilled software engineers to deliver best-of-breed text analysis capabilities in all major languages. The team’s strategic focus is the development of natural-language processing (NLP) functionality for the SAP HANA Platform for Healthcare and Life Sciences, the central component of our newly formed product unit for healthcare. By combining structured and unstructured data for comprehensive analytical processes, the platform will function as an integration point for many diverse health-related applications and will form the foundation of SAP’s solutions for personalized medicine.

We are looking for computational linguists at our location in Cambridge, MA to develop healthcare-focused NLP components in multiple languages, with initial focus on English, French and German.

Expectations and Tasks

  • Researches and implements new functionality in the healthcare space
  • Assumes ownership of one or more functionality areas
  • Creates, maintains and augments machine-readable dictionaries, grammar rules and parsing algorithms
  • Develops and maintains tools for the automation and support of linguistic tasks
  • Enhances the accuracy of our technologies in line with established quality metrics
  • Optimizes the performance of core engines to achieve breakthrough results

Work Experience

  • Experience with medical NLP functionality strongly preferred
  • Experience with regex languages and finite state automata for NLP applications
  • Experience developing named entity recognition functionality or in-depth knowledge of other text-based linguistic applications
  • Experience working in a production-oriented development environment
  • Agile/SCRUM development processes

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of B.A. in Computational Linguistics or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in the NLP industry, or M.A. in Computational Linguistics or equivalent
  • Native or near-native knowledge of French or German, in addition to English
  • Strong background in syntax and morphology
  • Proficiency in at least one data manipulation language (Perl or Python preferred)
  • Understanding of statistical approaches to NLP (e.g., Bayesian algorithms, HMMs, SVMs, supervised or unsupervised learning)
  • Familiarity with UNIX® environments
