The energy industry – oil & gas sector in particular – is bracing itself for a massive wave of retirements over the short to medium term, which has been dubbed “The Great Shift Change.” As the industry prepares for this turnover, companies are looking to the next generation of candidates with skills ranging from finance, geology, engineering, law, etc.

Additionally, lots of exciting opportunities are opening up in various renewable energy sectors as technological advancements rapidly disrupt traditional utility business models. The energy efficiency business is also growing by leaps and bounds, as significant cost saving benefits associated with using less energy are an easy sell for most businesses.

Business Analyst – Procurement 

Chevron; Makati, Philippines

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver recurring business performance reports to customers on time.
  • Provides analytical support to different PSCM SS teams in preparing and consolidating of data and reports required by customers.
  • Consolidates and monitors performance of all PSCM SS teams against business plan and service level agreement (SLA) targets.
  • Develops business performance reporting expertise within PSCM SS.
  • Develops or assist in the development of regular and ad-hoc business performance reports and decision support packages for management and customers.
  • Maintains monthly employee roster report from Human Resources (HR). Resolves inconsistencies.
  • Receives and compiles resource utilization reports from teams. Highlights to management significant variances against planned allocations.
  • Partners with PSCM SS LT to develop business plan targets during the business planning cycle. Works with DT&S Capability Team and local MSSC’s Business Planning Team for budget consolidation and allocation.
  • Coordinates with MSSC’s Business Planning and Budgeting Analyst
  • Provides analytical support for benchmarking, cost management, and other corporate-wide initiatives.
  • Acts as project resource for DT&S and corporate-wide initiatives on budget and reporting impacting PSCM SS Manila.
  • Works with DT&S Capability Team (i.e., Customer Interaction Analyst) to develop and review Service Level Agreements (SLA) for PSCM SS customers.
  • Works with PSCM SS LT to forecast and monitor expenditures. Highlights to management significant variances against planned expenses.
  • Develops and presents business cases (i.e., return on investment) on key initiatives for PSCM SS projects.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance or Business required
  • Has a strong business analytic skill.
  • Must be experienced using Microsoft office products: Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Experienced with creating complex excel reports, charts, macros , and use of advanced Excel functions
  • Good communications skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines successfully
  • Must be strong team player and successfully work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Basic knowledge in Finance(specific to budget and billing process) and Procurement processes is strongly desirable.
  • Basic experience in the use of Ariba, SAP, or JDE within Chevron is desirable.

Geomatics Operations Surveyor

As Geomatics Operations Surveyor you will:

  • Conduct all work under your control in a safe and environmentally sound manner that complies with all company policies, standards, procedures and legal requirements.

  • Play a leading role in strengthening Geomatics links to activities such as geophysics, engineering/design projects, and well engineering.

This position of Geomatics Operations Surveyor requires:

  • Deep appreciation of spatial data integrity and data quality in EP activities.
  • Deep understanding of geomatics survey measurement acquisition techniques onshore
  • Adequate understanding of associated disciplines such as GIS, geodesy, remote sensing, cartography, and geography and the ability to apply relevant principles from those disciplines.
  • Ability to apply relevant geodetic and quality assurance principles to survey planning, survey project execution and data processing
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective relation with contractors and customers regarding project objectives, plans, costs and safety-critical activities.
  • Experience in the use of GIS software and with positioning and GPS processing software
  • Experience with hands-on field surveying activities onshore, including survey data processing software and data management aspects.
  • Previous experience with contract and project management
  • Demonstration of high awareness of, and commitment to, HSE and hazard management
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into technical and expert advice

Lead User Experience Designer Job

What you will do:

  • Study users to deeply understand their SSNiFs (stakeholders, situations, needs leading to the right features)
  • Work with product managers to understand the business requirements and help sculpt the product vision
  • Generate design briefs to ensure alignment on the problem definition and assumptions
  • Coordinate the efforts of UX colleagues supporting your projects (visual design, user research, usability).
  • Generate models that form the theoretical foundation for great solutions: workflow diagrams, flowcharts, storyboards, personas and more.
  • Work with UX design colleagues in other areas to generate more creative ideas, and to ensure cross-suite consistency and integration
  • Explore multiple design directions to envision the best possible solution

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in something.  (Your portfolio matters more.)
  • You have strong design intuition and a natural ability to empathize with different personas
  • You are a meticulous craftsperson with strong attention to detail
  • You know how to cut through to the essence of a problem and extract simplicity out of complexity.
  • You are comfortable representing abstract concepts visually with workflows, wireflows, site maps, concept diagrams and other models.
  • You have good conceptual and big-picture design skills including: user experience architecture, information architecture.
