Manager, Corporate Responsibility – Public Affairs & Corporate Communications 

Anadarko; The Woodlands, TX, US

Job Summary

This position is located in The Woodlands, Texas or the Denver, Colorado office and will provide support to the External Communications and Public Affairs team. Anadarko is seeking someone who will be responsible for managing the company’s corporate responsibility program, including all reporting, communicating and coordinating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives . These activities will include direct interaction with Anadarko’s internal operations, health, safety and environment, midstream, public affairs, investor relations, legal and other teams. It also includes communication with Socially Responsible Investors (SRIs), media and other external stakeholders. Maintains discretion when working with confidential company information.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relative experience.
  • Strong Writing Skills
  • Excellent knowledge or IPIECA, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and other CSR reporting mechanisms
  • Needs strong background in health, safety and environment, including solid understanding of water management and greenhouse gas management
  • Background in corporate governance, policy and reporting requirements of a publicly traded company
  • Shows initiative by increasing knowledge of own function and the organization.
  • Demonstrates expertise in a specialty area and has working knowledge of other specialty areas, or demonstrates expertise in more than one area.
  • Has extensive experience in applying at least one major specialty.
  • Often actively transfers knowledge to colleagues and management through presentations, internal training, papers, alerts, bulletins, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develops public relations strategies that will influence public opinion or promote company ideas, products and services.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with representatives of community, consumer, employee, and public interest groups.
  • Prepares and edits organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and stockholders’ reports.
  • Implements public relations strategies, and adjusts strategy according to stakeholder responses.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Environmental Studies or other related field required.

Certification/Licenses

Valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.

Experienced Onshore Gas Production Operator

Health, Safety, Security and Environmental:

  • Be familiar with the Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) Management System and actively participate in its implementation
  • Understand and support the importance of sustainable development

Technical:

  • Capable of operating single and multi-well gas / condensate facilities
  • Thoroughly understand and have experience operating 2 & 3-phase separators
  • Through working knowledge of SCADA systems, review reports and prioritize daily work tasks
  • Assist in the development of a Clean, Lubricate, Adjust, Inspect and Repair (CLAIR) task list and implement it as the primary directive for daily well surveillance
  • Monitor online time and current production rates of all wells to ensure maximum well uptime and performance
  • Understand custody transfer procedures for condensate sales, this includes internal guidelines such as tank gauging procedures and external guidelines
  • Compare well production actual rates against well production targets and assist in the development and execution of action plans to close the gap
  • Respond to well shutdown alarms as directed by the SCADA system
  • Respond to all facility or well alarms when on call
  • Thoroughly understand facility and well safety shutdown systems – cause and effect
  • Utilize IT tools to monitor well and facility online time
  • Key enabler in improving facility uptime, well performance and overall production delivery by understanding of the overall surveillance objectives and associated work processes
  • Must be experienced in gas/oil well producing operations including natural flow and other forms of artificial lift such as rod pumps
  • Must understand hydrate formation and have experience regarding the safe removal of hydrates
  • Is a subject matter expert on facility operations and works to promote operational excellence across geographic and operational areas
  • Must be willing to learn SAP to input equipment repair notifications
  • Submit regular time and exceptions to central timekeeper

 Desired Skills:

Oracle DBA Job

Role Description: 

  • DBA will be responsible for managing the Oracle database supporting SAAS cloud platform for regulated industries
  • Must have experience supporting large scale web based applications
  • Excellent knowledge of shell scripting and ability to write his/her own scripts in Unix/Linux environments required.
  • Expert in Database structure changes, table/index sizing, SGA sizing, SQL, I/O and Application tuning, transaction monitoring, detecting lock contentions, tuning sort operations required and advanced troubleshooting techniques such as block dumps, setting event traces etc.
  • Expert in database backup/recovery, Database High Availability configurations, Fail-over, Disaster Recovery concepts
  • Should have good understanding of the underlying network and storage concepts such as SAN, NAS etc.
  • Experience with database level encryption and security a plus
  • Be able to provide on call support as needed
  • Must be knowledgeable about underlying Oracle database architecture schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes, and constraints
  • Prior experience supporting federal agencies is a plus
  • Proficiency in installation, configuration and administration of Oracle database software including Oracle Clusterware, Server side load balancing, Service based connectivity, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Physical and Virtual network address management, patching. Includes setting up RAC and adding nodes to RAC cluster as required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle 10 & 11G RAC and non-RAC including Database design and Architecture in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Should have good communication & documentation skills

Minimum Experience and Qualification:  

  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting high transaction volume databases in a mission critical environment such as ERP systems, e-commerce
  • OCDBA certification a must
  • Engineering degree preferred
