The energy industry – oil & gas sector in particular – is bracing itself for a massive wave of retirements over the short to medium term, which has been dubbed “The Great Shift Change. As the industry prepares for this turnover, companies are looking to the next generation of candidates with skills ranging from finance, geology, engineering, law, etc.

Sr Engineering Technologist – Reservoir Engineering  

Anadarko; The Woodlands, TX, US

Job Summary: This engineering technologist position will be located in The Woodlands, TX office working with the North America Onshore Exploration team and the Economic Consistency and Transparency (ECT) team. Successful candidates will be responsible for data management, data analysis/interpretation and providing technical support of a multi-discipline team.

Qualifications:

  • EIght + years or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications, specifically Microsoft Access and Excel (VBA preferred).
  • Experience with Aries, PEEP, PowerTools, and Spotfire preferred.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • High aptitude for problem solving.
  • Strong organizational skills. Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Takes initiative to maintain and increase technical and working knowledge.
  • Seeks feedback from management and other involved disciplines, but able to work independently.
  • Able to learn new applications quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the engineering team with data management, data assimilation and organization and process improvement.
  • Update, maintain and manage the team’s various technical databases, which could include Aries, PEEP, Access and other internal software programs. Become the team’s expert on the use and capabilities of these tools.
  • Gain familiarity with APC production and accounting systems and become proficient in extracting and compiling production and cost information as needed.
  • Proactively seek to improve systems, data management, processes and team functionality.
  • Streamline and automate manual procedures using software.
  • Coordinate and communicate across disciplines, applying lessons learned and best practices.
  • May be responsible for occasional written and verbal presentations to management.
  • Takes an active part in team meetings and decisions.
  • Upholds all company environmental, health and safety policies and principles.
  • Holds oneself to high level of professional and ethical behavior.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Meteorology, Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field is preferred.

Relocation: This position is not eligible for domestic relocation.

Travel Requirements: The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 – 10%.

Work Schedule: This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule.

Account Manager 

Chevron; Bellaire, TX, US

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:  

  • Responsible for driving business with regional customers and ILMA accounts.
  • Engage internal stakeholders including MM/P&T and MarCom to create winning offers to the customer.
  • Provide technology updates to the customer.
  • Accurate forecasting.

Senior Quality Specialist Job

Skills Required 

  • The candidate should have at least 7+ yrs of solid experience in Manual Testing of web based products
  • Should be very strong in testing concepts and methodologies
  • Should be conversant with software testing of business applications and functional exposure to SaaS model is a great plus
  • Should be good in problem solving skills and comprehensive technical ability (Java, ORACLE,XML, AJAX, Java Script etc)
  • Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills
