Payroll Supervisor – Global Payroll 

Anadarko; The Woodlands, TX, US

Job Summary

This position is located in the Woodlands, TX Corporate office and will supervise a team of 4-6 payroll processors. Job duties include preparation/reviewing and issuing payroll to all employees, administering SAP CATS timekeeping system and ensuring timely payment of monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll taxes. This position works closely with various internal and external resources (including Legal, Corporate Finance, Tax, Cash Management, Benefits, Stock Administration and Internal Audit). This is a fast-paced role, requiring an experienced Payroll professional with the ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently.

This position requires flexible working hours to accommodate payroll processing and could require work on holidays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with multi-state payrolls
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Global payroll, UK experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of SAP payroll experience
  • Minimum of 5 years payroll supervisory experience
  • Familiar with Federal and State Department of Labor guidelines
  • Strong understanding of Payroll and Payroll Tax at the federal, state and local levels
  • In depth experience with Payroll/HR operations and Accounting/General Ledger payroll reconciliation in an integrated SAP environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, independently and within a collaborative, team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making
  • Strong critical thinking, financial acumen, data organization, statistical analysis, written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently; results oriented
  • Advanced Excel and Intermediate Word proficiency
  • Expertise in leading payroll vendor selections preferred
  • Payroll conversion experience preferred
  • Finance/Accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists payroll manager in administration and oversight of in-house global payroll program
  • Compiles, analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data using systems to produce accurate and timely payroll
  • Reviews employee payroll information to ensure compliance with payroll labor and tax reporting laws. Stays up to date on changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process
  • Researches discrepancies with payroll information (e.g., time sheets, leave time etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing
  • Audits payroll reports for each payroll run to confirm accuracy of wage, tax and deduction information
  • Assists with day to day payroll issues/questions/tasks
  • Provides backup support for others as needed
  • Performs various payroll related activities to support the business such as audits, reviews of department calculations, processing payments, as well as any additional tasks relating to payroll processing and reporting requirements
  • Performs ongoing routine and ad-hoc data analyses, ensuring overall process/system timeliness and accuracy
  • Assists with the development of payroll policy and procedures, contingency plans and process improvement initiatives by leveraging existing tools and processes
  • Consults with HRIS consultant to troubleshoot issues and enhance HRIS system
  • May lead and/or contribute subject matter expertise to various other Human Resources special projects
  • Liaise with accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and accruals
  • Prepare or review and research all global payroll account reconciliations
  • Coordinate with field timekeepers to ensure accurate cost allocations through time writing

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

Certification/Licenses
Certified Payroll Professional certification strongly preferred

Completions Engineer 

BP; Houston, TX, US

Job Description:

The Completions Engineer will report to the Completions Manager. The candidate will work with suppliers and the field organization to deliver a broad range of activities including fracture stimulation, completions design, permeability testing, artificial lift and well testing. The position is responsible for reducing POP time, scheduling and completing wells in a timely manner. This challenging workload will require an experienced individual to keep up with pace of activity.

Key Accountabilities: 
•Deliver activity set and performance plan while demonstrating continuous improvement in assigned Completions
•Facilitate learning’s from Post Well Reviews, AAR, End of Well Reviews, etc.. with input from Wells Operations, Production Engineering, and/or BU Area Managers
•Support Wells Operations, and PSCM in supplier performance management
•Manage the cost cycle through SoR, AFE, execution, supplements, and invoice resolution
•Foster relationships across multi-functional teams including Drilling & Completions Engineering sub-disciplines, Wells Operations, Base Management, Area Manager, Reservoir Management, and PSCM to deliver Value by being both Safe and Competitive
•Provide mentorship and coaching to team members
•Foster personal development by making regular field visits for execution of well programs as assigned by supervisor
•Support supervisor in the decision making process, planning, and forecasting
•Seek and follow up on the use of new technology that has the potential to improve productivity, reduce costs and/ or enhance safety performance.
•Evaluate competitor and partner performance and embed appropriate changes into L48 procedures
•Operate within the framework of OMS and L48 Practices
•Provide operational and engineering technical support to onsite WSLs
•Participate in daily wells operations call(s)

Essential Education: 

  • BS in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering

Essential Experience and Job Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 10 years Completions experience for oil and gas wells
  • A strong track record as a Completion Engineer including expertise in at least one of : completion design, sand fracturing, flow assurance or CBM
  • Design and planning skills, personal commitment and proactive approach to HSSE, with some coaching and mentoring,
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, and network building, demonstrated by an ability to work across teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time to the field location in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position as needed
  • Skilled in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Purpose and Objective:

SuccessFactors, Inc. seeks a Senior Product Specialist at our South San Francisco, CA location to analyze technology trends and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities for SAP.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field and 6 years of experience required. Will accept a Master’s degree and 4 years of experience.

Work Experience:

Experience or coursework must include: developing and implementing product roadmaps; writing MRDs and PRDs and giving oral and written reports; working with a rapid prototyping process; prioritizing product features and functionality without hard data; working with customers in a sales, consulting, or support capacity; providing quantitative analysis to take data as input and develop actionable recommendations; and identifying and exploiting market opportunities. 10% travel required.
