Tax Manager – Tax Reporting 

Anadarko; The Woodlands, TX, US

Job Summary
This position is located in Anadarko’s corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, TX and is part of the Tax Reporting Team.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of tax accounting experience in upstream oil and gas is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of tax experience is required.
  • Big 4 experience preferred
  • Experience in managing and developing staff, and be comfortable working with other groups both inside and outside the Tax Department.

Responsibilities
The primary job functions for this position will include:

  • Prepare preliminary tax provisions and footnote disclosures in 10Q and 10K filing for a multinational publicly traded corporation and two publicly traded master limited partnerships.
  • Manage periodic budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist with research and analysis for specific transactions.
  • Help implementing strategy and policy set by management.
  • Review financial statements prepared for international locations.
  • Manage tax based balance sheets and help with the improvement of such items.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.

Certifications/Licenses
CPA preferred

Relocation
This position is not eligible for domestic or international relocation.

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 – 10%

Senior Production Technologist 

Shell; Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

Job Description: 

To provide a full range of professional Production Technologist services to the Sabah Deepwater Development team. Effectively and efficiently deliver Production Technologist products to help meet business objectives. Coach, mentor and help to develop the capabilities of peers and colleagues. Contribute to Production Technologist discipline health and business improvements.

  • 1. Support well delivery and startup, conceptual well design and Wells Reservoir and Facilities Management (WRFM) plan delivery going forward.
  • Supervise/coach two or more Production Technologist staff.
  • Support overall well integrity management

Desired Skills:

  • A minimum of 10 years line experience.
  • Worked in a project delivery or/an asset development team
  • Demonstrated competence in Wells Resevoir and Facilities Management (WRFM) activities as per the standard practice table including exposure to Operations Excellence and WRFM Minimum Standards compliance.
  • Significant experience of offshore well construction, with exposure to subsea well design and operations an advantage.
  • Demonstrable completion design experience with particular emphasis on sand prediction and control
  • Exposure to production system management, flow assurance and process engineering an advantage
  • Waterflood design and management experience
  • Some supervisory/coaching experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of well integrity management

User Experience Design Specialist Job

As a member of our User Experience team, you will push your creative, problem-solving and people skills to the fullest.  You will work closely with product managers, development leads and other designers and user researchers.  You will study end-users to understand their problems, generate breakthrough design concepts and craft them into buildable solutions.  You will create interactive prototypes as needed to simulate the experience, and validate your solutions with users. What you will do: 
• Study users to deeply understand their SSNiFs (stakeholders, situations, needs leading to the right features)
• Work with product managers to understand the business requirements and help sculpt the product vision
• Generate design briefs to ensure alignment on the problem definition and assumptions
• Coordinate the efforts of UX colleagues supporting your projects (visual design, user research, usability).
• Generate models that form the theoretical foundation for great solutions: workflow diagrams, flowcharts, storyboards, personas and more.

About you
• You have a portfolio of modern, sophisticated interaction designs for web and mobile applications.  Experience designing simple consumer-grade products.
• 1 year experience designing highly interactive mobile and web applications for consumers
• At least a bachelor’s degree in something.  (Your portfolio matters more.)
• You have strong design intuition and a natural ability to empathize with different personas
• You are a meticulous craftsperson with strong attention to detail
• You know how to cut through to the essence of a problem and extract simplicity out of complexity.
• You are comfortable representing abstract concepts visually with workflows, wireflows, site maps, concept diagrams and other models.
• You have good conceptual and big-picture design skills including: user experience architecture, information architecture.
• You have solid information design skills, and can create layouts that clearly communicate the right story.
• You are adept at designing both macro and micro-interactions
• You are up to speed in the latest design trends on both web and mobile
• You have excellent verbal and written skills.  You are able to persuade others of your good ideas.
• You are comfortable building rapid prototypes and scripting interactions to simulate the user experience
