Sr ITS Project Manager – PMO 

Anadarko; The Woodlands, TX, US

Summary

This position is located at Anadarko’s corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas, as part of the Project Management Office within the Business and Information Technology Systems department. The Staff Project Manager is responsible for delivery of large scale projects and realization of desired business benefits. Project scope will typically extend to complex functionality, impacting multiple areas of business operations.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience with Information Technology initiatives, including formal project leadership experience. Qualifications include:

  •  Ability to manage and successfully deliver on large scale projects impacting multiple business functions at multiple locations including international.
  • Ability to bring project structure and discipline to an area, regardless of personal expertise in the business area.
  • Strong analysis skills and ability to translate business requirements into a set of project deliverables and associated tasks.
  • Strong communications skills (written and oral), with an ability to listen and to articulate project status and issues. Communication experience should include presentations at all organizational levels.
  • Team building and management skills, to bring a diverse group together to deliver required business results.
  • Leadership through influence, rather than exercising leadership via formal hierarchy.
  • Technical understanding to enable effective delivery of technology projects including new systems implementations and upgrades to existing systems.
  • Good working understanding of the project management lifecycle and the key knowledge areas of project management: integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk, procurement, stakeholder.
  • Customer Focus – proven track record of customer satisfaction and delivery success and ability to establish and maintain appropriate relationships with business and IT stakeholders
  • Consulting/Problem Solving – ability to work in an advisory capacity to identify key problems, develop and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations.
  • Facilitation skills and techniques.
  • Experience in upstream Oil and Gas related business areas is preferred.
  • Experience in SAP projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

Responsible for planning and management of large scale projects including their related costs, schedule and the delivery of project based goals. Candidate will be responsible to ensure projects are: on-time; within budget; utilize defined processes and best practices; and are of high quality. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provides the leadership for the successful implementation of a project in a defined area of responsibility with strong business acumen.
  • Identifies business objectives and project scope. Co-ordinates gathering of business requirements and solution definition along with supporting business case.
  • Develops and executes project: Schedule, Budget, Resource, Quality and Communication plans
  • Recruits and supports development of project team members, coaching less experienced individuals. Project teams may include both employee and contract team members.
  • Plans, directs and monitors project team activities to design, develop and deploy solutions that meet applicable business requirements.
  • Facilitates identification, communication and resolution of issues and risks.
  • Ensures operational success, strategic alignment and integration of activities with other major organizational functions related to the project. Assesses and addresses project constraints and organizational barriers to success.
  • Makes/facilitates decisions for large scale projects potentially impacting multiple business functions.
  • Maintains communication with all identified stakeholders. Develops and presents project communications. Reports frequently to senior management.
  • Negotiates and manages contracts with vendors regarding products and resources.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelors Degree MIS or Computer Science preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

PMP certification strongly preferred.

Relocation

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements

The percentage of travel required for this position is 0-10%.

Work Schedule

Diving and ROV Advisor with TA 2

Job Description: 

The Maintenance Discipline Engineering group provides support to Shell Malaysia EP Production Assets to safeguard and improve the technical integrity and reliability.

  • Key success factors are the completion of the Asset “Fix” program, and embedding the elements needed to sustain and improve performance.
  • Uphold a Technical Assurance role (TA2) per the DCAF (Discipline Controls and Assurance Framework) Standards in the operate phase.
  • Lead Technical Investigations of failures and follow up with corrective actions.
  • Coaching and Mentoring of colleagues within the Underwater Services / CSR’s
  • Management of HSSE Social Performance (SP) strategies and incentives as applicable to work copes and business environment
  • Responsible for the underwater contractor’s compliance (IMCA- International Marine Contractors Association and OGP -International Association of Oil and Gas Producers) during its implementation stage.
  • Responsible for the safeguarding and maintenance of all underwater equipment in regard to conformance to industry standards (IMCA and OGP)
  • Conduct HAZID (Hazard Identification) and Risk Analysis with regards to underwater operations in support of the regional assets.
  • Ensures that all incidences pertaining to underwater operations (including near misses) shall be reported, takes the lead to investigate and analyse root causes to prevent future recurrence.
  • Ensure that all communication (both process and equipment) pertaining to underwater operations and safety is established and complied with.
  • Responsible for monitoring emergency response arising from incidences associated with underwater operations in the region.
  • The regional link to the Diving Center Excellence encompassing underwater operations or engineering technology, standards, best practices and procedures.

Desired Skills: 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience within the technical functions in E&P environment
  • Must have experience in maintenance related activities for Subsea systems, and have a balanced outlook between operations and subsea hardware

The North America Maintenance Finance Deal Support is looking for a dedicated team member to join us in supporting our Sales team along with various other organizations within the company.  The applicant should have strong verbal and written skills in order to clearly communicate the results of their analysis in a logical manner. The person must be able to adapt to a dynamic environment and be able to prioritize and multi-task well.  This position requires an individual that is able to provide thorough, well research analyses, adhering to the guidance provided while meeting time constraints.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Produce standardized or custom reporting from Excel queries
  • Review and analyze the financial and contractual data associated with products and maintenance
  • Perform a variety of calculations such as ratios and equalizations
  • Review maintenance extension calculations
  • Plan, manage and complete projects of various complexity and scope where detailed data analysis is critical and/or situations that requires a review of determinable and abstract facets.  Exercises judgment within defined practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Design solutions to requested adhoc analyses, following through to completion
  • Process conversion certificates to support license & maintenance amounts to be incorporated into software quotes for Sybase to Sybase Conversions
  • Provide business partnering and forecasting support for the active renewal maintenance business
  • Analyze, process and grant data model conversions
  • Review contract conversions
  • Approve active maintenance renewal GAF approval and payment term approval
  • Review active maintenance renewals for revenue recognition compliance
