Sr. Forensic Legal Accountant 

Anadarko; The Woodlands, TX, US

Job Summary
This position will be within the International Section of the Legal Department, which is responsible for the provision of legal services for Anadarko’s international operations, including the day-to-day development, implementation, management and enhancement (from time-to-time) of Anadarko’s Global Anti-Corruption Compliance Program and the application of the anti-corruption due diligence policy and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with anti-corruption compliance, with emphasis on due diligence screening, and international business experience.
  • Experience in project management, corporate compliance, management consulting and finance.
  • Experience with international fraud investigations and risk assessments, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Compliance or similar investigations.
  • Experience with performing internal control risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of and experience with anti-corruption laws and regulations, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act.
  • Strong self-starter, energetic team player with proven ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues across a complex organization and with all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; solid computer skills and excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and precise writing.
  • Fluency in Spanish (reading and writing, as a minimum) is highly desired.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform a broad multi-functional role as a member of the Anti-Corruption team, responsible for undertaking critical aspects of the Global Anti-Corruption Program, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Providing support in the conduct of due diligence screenings with respect to prospective agents, consultants, contractors, co-ventures and other intermediaries (“Intermediaries”).
  • Coordinating enterprise-wide anti-corruption processes and responses related to due diligence, including scoring and assessing factors indicative of risk and level thereof.
  • Providing support in reviewing and revising the related anti-corruption control and compliance processes to increase efficiency and mitigate risk.
  • Interfacing with various business partners across the enterprise, including Corporate Audit, ensuring that the objectives and work plans of the due diligence projects are properly aligned with the corresponding risk analysis performed
  • Providing responsive, customer-oriented service in support of the Company’s international operations consistent with the Anadarko corporate values and anti-corruption policies and procedures.
  • Providing support for the training of key stakeholders in the international locations with regard to the due diligence policy and procedures.
  • Providing support for the annual anti-corruption certifications required from Intermediaries.

As part of a global team, the position requires flexibility and diligence to interact and coordinate with colleagues and vendors located around the world to ensure consistent execution of the Company’s Global Anti-Corruption Compliance Program.

Education
Business Degree and/or Accounting Background.

Certifications / Licenses
CPA preferred; forensic practice experience would be valuable.

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required will be very minimal, if any, during the first year, but it may change in the following years depending on various factors which are unknown at this time. However, at no time will travel exceed 10%.

Sr. Petroleum Consultant

Job Description: 

the position will also be a technical mentor to other Production Engineering staff and fresh graduates within team.
Within the guidelines provided by the unit supervisor or division head , the successful candidate will be involved in aggressive field development plans, with a high level of drilling and completion activities together with analyzing and optimizing the performance of horizontal, multi-frac wells in addition to the following:
• Own the quality and implementation of optimization tools
• Own the water chemistry issues
• Work closely with the Surveillance organization
• Provide input to pilot design and interpretation
• Implement industry best practices and exchange learnings for similar unconventional gas assets

Minimum Requirements: 

A bachelor’s degree and or master’s degree in petroleum engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of extensive experience as a Production Engineer. The incumbent should have the ability to multitask, prioritize projects and be available for occasional field coverage. He/she should be familiar with simulation software such as Prosper, Saphir, WellCat and MFrac (or equivalent) with the ability to perform nodal analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

The successful candidate will be required to perform production engineering duties including the following:
1. Design well completions and propose alternatives, if required.
2. Design, execute, QA/QC and perform post-job analysis for acid and proppant fracturing treatments.
3. Develop production targets and avails for wells on production.
4. Determine the optimum production rate for wells.
5. Plan, monitor and validate surveillance activities for wells.
6. Perform studies and projects to improve excellence.
7. Evaluate new technologies, tools or techniques and decide on suitability.
