Job Description: ConocoPhillips Company has an opening for a Senior Reservoir Engineer in Bartlesville, OK to contribute to the technology development programs in Subsurface Technology. Requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience conducting research in reservoir engineering including performing chemical EOR evaluation for conventional reservoirs including sandstone, carbonate, and chalk reservoirs; applying knowledge and understanding of EOR concepts for unconventional reservoirs including designing imbibition enhancement systems; implementing chemical EOR floods in pilot studies; performing economic evaluation of chemical EOR flood; using non-thermal EOR technique for viscous/heavy oils; performing chemical flood lab evaluations systems; analyzing high pressure-high temperature (HPHT) core flood experiments; performing CEOR formulation evaluation techniques for live oil under high pressure conditions; and using analytical techniques including HPLC, CT scanning, and GC.

Quality Management Engineer (Welding)

The Welding/Quality Management Engineer responsibilities include:

Welding Engineering

  • Provide technical expertise and technical consulting in welding, weld code interpretation, weld procedure development, and weld fabrication methods
  • Provide technical expertise and technical consulting in quality assurance, quality control, measurements, reports, and industry requirements specifically focused on the aspects of welding, weld procedure development/review, and NDE of welds. This includes participating in preproduction and engineering meetings developing, reviewing, and approving Shell and contractor weld and NDE procedures
  • Make field visits to validate startup of welding and NDE processes are effectively implemented for complex welding operations
  • Evaluate suppliers including production capability, reviewing quality systems (ISO 9001), supplier appraisals, weld and fabrication shop surveys, coordinating quality surveillance and material inspection, reviewing quality plans, and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Ensure timely implementation and closeout of all supplier corrective actions
  • Advise operations and field staff on welding and inspection requirements and provide training sessions as needed
  • Act as technical resource for Shell staff by making recommendations regarding materials, welding, and NDE requirements
  • In conjunction with Shell’s Trouble Action Teams (TaT) ensure that:
    • Corrective Actions/Best Practices resulting from the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) processes are implemented by suppliers
    • The Shell inspection community is aware of the nature of the RCFA as well as the specific recommendation(s), thereby insuring implementation, and raise awareness within Shell to welding issues and QA-QC highlights related to RCFA
    • Initiate change and champion best practice application of appropriate technical design practices, technology, and Drill the Limit practices
    • Ensure learnings and best practices are captured and shared

Quality Management

  • Manage and coordinate inspection and surveillance inspection activities associated with fabricated drilling and completion equipment (subsea wellhead systems, drilling risers, gas lift mandrels, blow-out preventers, etc.)
  • Ensure that material/equipment/service received will be cost effective and fit for the intended service
  • Apply quality tools, practices and philosophies
  • Analyze quality information including feedback and corrective action analyses
  • Participate in Business Performance Reviews (BPR’s) and Quality Improvement Process (QIP) Teams for key suppliers/fabricators
  • Ensure Shell HSE programs, procedures and guidelines are incorporated into fabrication/inspection/surveillance process and monitor supplier and inspector HSE performance
  • Set a clear leadership example and promote a high degree of health, safety and environmental awareness among project stakeholders by participating in HSE meetings

Senior Solution Specialist Job

Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks

  • Positioning of the existing Custom Development Portfolio with customers to meet Revenue and Profit Targets for SAP CD together with the SAP Field Organization (shared targets)
  • P/L responsibility for all Custom Development services (CDP, ACS/RCS/FBS, Services, Support) in the relevant territory / industry / account
  • Establish, protect and cultivate customer relationships (up to middle management level)
  • Ensure internal and external Stakeholder Management
  • Pro-actively drive and negotiate midsize and large Custom Development Business Opportunities in the respective territory / industry / account in tight alignment with other LoBs
  • Professionally manage bids and proposals as per Custom Development Opportunity (Bid) Management Guidelines with support from Custom Development Architects or SAP Custom Development Solution Architects and together with the local Sales and Consulting teams
  • Responsible for securing an understanding of the customer’s requirements, for solution proposal delivery in time and quality,  price calculation, set-up of project governance  structure and risk reviews /  governance councils incl. business case creation (or ROM’s), contract preparation, coordination with Legal, Revenue Recognition and Corporate Controlling etc.
  • Ensure compliance as per Custom Development governance processes, synchronization with SAP Consulting internal processes and securing conformity with Corporate Controlling  and  Legal Guidelines for CDPs
  • Support (Chief) Engagement Experts in larger deals
  • Responsible for (& alignment with) the GTM strategy and develops account and closing plans
  • Build-up and maintain designated business and pipeline as required
  • First point of escalation ongoing project communication from Field Sales and customer around CD Delivery issues (EMEA specific)
  • Once project moves to GCDE implementation, the Engagement Specialist maintains oversight of the project performance in all / any aspect that may affect P&L on a monthly basis based on information from SAP CD Operations, GCDE and COPM. EM delivers the RCD P&L accountability at project level
  • Responsible for delivery to client of CD Custom Satisfaction material and facilitation of customer responses
  • Act as a coach / mentor for the Engagement Specialist CD

Experience & Language Requirements
Functional Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in business development, project management, sales or consulting of SAP solutions and/or services
  • At least 3 years in SAP environment (sales or consulting) and preferably at SAP
  • Deep understanding and experience of custom software development, it’s complexities, the key business requirements for execution and a good understanding of scoping at high level
  • Ability to combine such understanding of custom software development with sales stimulation skills – maintaining balance of revenue opportunity and potential down-stream risks
