Job Summary

This position is located in Anadarko’s Southern & Appalachia Region as a member of the Operations in Carthage, TX.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of automated control systems and pneumatic controls in the oil & gas industry.
  • Familiarity with ABB Totalflow, Fisher RO, Allen Bradley, Cygnet, and SAP preferred.
  • Documented military training in an electronics, electrical, or similarly related discipline may be substituted in lieu of oil & gas industry experience.
  • Previous work experience demonstrating technical knowledge of control instrumentation, RF communications, ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID’s, process flow diagrams, etc.
  • Availability and flexibility to work rotating schedules, overtime hours, and respond to on-call situations.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative team environment and have effective communication skills.
  • Be detail-oriented and possess effective problem identification and resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
  • Work closely with E&I foreman to ensure seamless transfer of product responsibility
  • Process functional expenditures and invoices
  • Report any and all spills/drips or safety hazards
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections, mechanical integrity checks, and instrument calibrations.
  • Monitor Cygnet to identify field issues and respond according to assigned priority levels
  • Control and track inventory and projects through SAP, monitor spending and track OPEX and Capital
  • Respond timely to maintenance work orders and assist with automation concerns of the field operators.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.

Certifications/Licenses
Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

Relocation
This position may be eligible for domestic relocation.

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0-10%.

Work Schedule
This position covers 24-hour operations and must be available for 24/7 on call.

Associate Pricing & Energy Market Analyst

Job Description

Pricing & Energy Market Analyst position  is a specialized position responsible for such distinct pricing and market analysis areas as NYPA’s governmental and business customer electric commodity rate development, tariff administration, cost recovery and settlement with customers, and energy market evaluation and analysis. The Pricing & Energy Market Analyst develops comprehensive pricing mechanisms to assure appropriate electric commodity costs recovery, sets billing procedures by creating and maintaining customer tariffs, reconciles, establishes and maintains mechanisms for recovery of such costs as New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) Load Serving Entity (LSE) and market energy and capacity costs. The Pricing & Energy Market Analyst creates complex electric market competitiveness analyses, including savings/cost comparison analysis for NYPA’s governmental and business customers. The Pricing & Energy Market Analyst issues long term price forecasts used in NYPA’s financial future planning, including NYPA’s Operating Forecast and Long Range Financial Plan. This position assures proper NYPA’s revenue requirements recovery for all customer segments through managing customer rates, setting customer rate and billing procedures, financial planning of customer revenues through rates, and performing market analysis.

  • Perform rate calculations on existing NYPA’s governmental and business commodity customers’ rate models.
  •  Assist with developing any new cost recovery methods and performing the existing monthly cost recovery reconciliations, including governmental and RNY customer Energy Charge Adjustment processes. Analyze the ECA results for reporting to internal and external customers.
  • Provide support to the Pricing group by assisting in the rate setting processes, inclusive of performing impact analysis on consumer  bills, gathering rate assumptions and inputs, developing supporting rate data, and verifying rate outputs for accuracy.
  • Assist with assessing that proper NYISO costs are passed through to customers, including those applied through ECAs and as pursuant to the Muni Global Settlement agreement, by reviewing tariffs and contracts against the charges processed.
  • Validate and issue for billing monthly governmental customer Con Ed delivery surcharges.
  • Validate and issue for billing governmental customer delivery rates. Assist with analyzing monthly governmental customer delivery revenue over/under collections.
  • Perform customer savings/cost comparison by using existing market analysis models including market analysis models for BPAC and BMED by gathering internal requirements, setting up monthly rate inputs and adjusting the models to appropriately reflect electric market conditions in NYS.
  • Support the maintenance of customer tariffs.
  • Assist in the preparation of various rate and tariff related Trustee items, working with Corporate Secretary’s Office to develop information for the State Register publishing.
  • Enter and maintain rates in the SAP billing system.
  • Assist with internal audit processes, by gathering supporting data on rates, rate models and tariff procedures.
  • Stay abreast of rate filings and research rate setting trends in public and private utilities.
  • Assist with developing long term price forecasts to be used for NYPA’s Operating Forecast and LRFP by gathering assumptions and populating OF models with rates.

Required Skills

  • Basic knowledge of the utility industry and NYISO market is required.
  • Basic knowledge of economics, finance and accounting concepts and theories.
  • Excellent analytical skills required, including ability to interpret financial, marketing and utility tariff data.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is required.
  • Working knowledge of Business Integration sales and accounting statements reporting is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment is required.
  • Approximately 25% travel primarily within NY State.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Math or related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of analytical experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in utility industry is preferred.
