Sr. Engineer

• As a member of the Engineering Team, the Sr. Engineer is responsible for the design and development of new equipment, equipment modification, material selection and design verification analysis.
• Performing mechanical engineering analysis using hand calculations, finite element analysis and other computer aided design techniques
• Work closely with engineers and designers in the analysis of complex engineering designs and Structural and Mechanical Systems
• Prepare complex models for analysis and analyze the same
• Properly file and store all analysis performed in accordance with the engineering departments’ calculation assignment and storage procedures
• Develop schedules on all jobs and comply with the same
• Exercises diligent quality and cost control during the design and construction process;
• Provides expertise in achieving cost effective designs through value engineering and implementation of new products and methods;
• Ensure that all work performed is engineered in accordance with customer spec’s
• Act as a liaison between other departments when necessary to ensure the success of the project.   Prepares tender and contract documents and manages all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical construction management and administration through to project completion; Oversees, manages and conducts commissioning and handover process.

Process Engineer- Lummus Gassification

CB&I, Houston, TX

The Lummus Gasification Business Unit is responsible for licensing the E-Gas technology for coal and petcoke gasification projects.  The E-Gas technology converts coal and petcoke into syngas for utilization in Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle plants, Substitute Natural Gas plants, Coal to Liquids and Coal to Chemical plants.  The Process Engineering group provides comprehensive process engineering services throughout the project life cycle from Feasibility Studies, through Engineering, Procurement, & Construction, Commissioning, Start-up and into Operations.

The Process Engineer assists the Business Development group in preparation of licensing proposals and working directly with customers to customize a gasification process design to meet the customer’s needs. Once an E-Gas license agreement is executed the Process Engineer will prepare Process Design Package (PDP) deliverables.  The Process Engineer may have the opportunity to continue working on the project throughout FEED and EPC contract execution.  The Process Engineer is also involved in technology development projects to further improve the E-Gas technology.
